Training and Technical Assistance

Quality Early Care is crucial to child development and later success in school and life. Training and technical assistance increases child care providers' knowledge and skills, enabling them to provide developmentally appropriate activities and environments win which children can learn and flourish.
The goal of Smart Start's Training and Technical Assistance project is to equip parents and childcare providers with the knowledge and skills needed to foster optimal growth in young children.
NATIONAL ACCREDITATION PROJECT:
Smart Start partners with local organizations to provide training and technical assistance to help Childcare CENTERS and Family Daycare HOMES improve quality, with the goal of ultimately achieving and maintaining national accreditation.
DARKNESS TO LIGHT is a revolutionary sexual abuse prevention training program that educates adults to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse, and motivates them to courageous action. This training program is designed for individuals, informal and formal child care programs, church groups and others that engage young children.
